Effectiveness of antipsychotic treatment for schizophrenia: Italian results of the pan-European Schizophrenia Outpatient Health Outcomes (SOHO) study after 12 months

Objectives Schizophrenia therapy aims to control clinical symptoms and improve patient quality of life and functioning. The aim of this study was to present the 12-month outcomes associated with antipsychotic treatment of Italian patients participating in the Schizophrenia Outpatient Health Outcomes (SOHO) study. SOHO is a 3-year, prospective, observational study of the health outcomes associated with antipsychotic treatment in 10 European countries, with a special focus on olanzapine.
